Autonomous Car
For our challenge we decided to make an autonomous car. First let us give you the definition of autonomous.
¨au·ton·o·mous [aw-ton-uh-muhs] ¨
¨adjective
¨having autonomy; not subject to control from outside; independent: a subsidiary that functioned as an autonomous unit.
Basically it moves al by itself.

Some of you may be wondering how we came up with this idea. Well, David, Brent, & Sylvia had a great-grandfather that got in a car wreck just a little while after his drivers license had been revoked. After just a little bit of time Oliver & Olaitan Powdar agreed that this was something we should look into. After more time and some research we decided that is what we wanted to do our project on. Elderly people have that type of freedom for at least 55 years and then all of a sudden they loose it. Sure it is for their own safety, but that is still a hard thing to deal with.
With age what happens that could make a person not fit to drive?
1) eye sight- as you get older your eye sight starts to deteriorate
2) reaction- as you get older your reaction time is not as fast as it needs to be to drive especially on the high-way
Solution- make an autonomous car, let the car see and react for you
What does an autonomous car need to be able to do?
1) See stop signs, traffic lights, the cars around it, and people/ dogs crossing the streets
2) An updated GPS, going out of the state lack of updates not being able to update and construction projects could cause a problem in this area
These ideas were thought of in loving memory of Charles A. Campbell (1923-2010)
